Default versus planned out.

Certain things will need to be taken care of in life whether you like it or not. The difference is that you can do it proactively or it can happen by default. Obviously both paths are utilized by people and have advantages but… which is right for you?

Kind of like writing this blog, I started this at about 7:00a today and it needs to be done by about 11:45a. I could have worked on it yesterday or the day before or a week ago but it has to be done by 11:45a. I have several appointments today and with enough things going just right I’ll get it done on time. I might feel some nervousness, strain, pressure. And I chose to do other things at certain times earlier this week rather than do this.

Things in life can show up inconveniently when they need to be dealt with. That goes for having an important conversation with someone, dealing with grief, getting gas in your car, or dental work. It will eventually need to be dealt with or it will have negative effects that cause inconvenience.

It’s now 8:20a. I’m at Starbucks and getting an espresso. Guess what… my gift card loaded into my phone is out of money and the credit card I have set up to automatically reload is expired. More time. More inconvenience. Tick tock, tick tock. This is a surface level example so consider what you do in your life to make this relevant to you.

One of the keys to life is to optimize this dynamic and keep operating in more and more harmonious ways until you reach invincibility. Tell me I’m wrong.

Thanks for your time, have a great day.
