Ya know, as many colors as there are in the big box of crayons there are different voices that live inside each one of us. That’s a lot. We just seem to have entities galore.

The person who is in charge of and determines the final circumstances that form the setting for an event, statement, or idea, and in terms of which it can be fully understood and assessed is your editor. They just might be irresponsibly managing peoples perception of you.

What is it’s job? Why does it do it? Where did they come from?

This particular part is the one that’s in charge or at least a lead in the team running our PR campaign. They oftentimes over manage the world’s perception of us and head us straight for inauthentic exchanges with others. Too much editing to be accepted and loved is when we betray ourselves.

Why?

There’s danger in presenting what’s deep in our hearts. The vulnerability and entrance into our soul is one of the scariest things we’ll face in our time here on this rock racing around the sun. So we do what we’ve learned to survive and that’s to edit ourselves.

But, what I know for sure is that we’re all yearning for a deep soul connection. Deep deep deep in our hearts there’s a truth that we don’t often tell. Our hopes, dreams, and fears. Down in there the most beautiful things about us are buried underneath what terrifies us the most.

We all long to be seen, heard, and valued. These are basic human desires and yet with so much at stake we often don’t get there. We settle.

Many of us are living in the world, in such a way that it’s commonplace for the shallow, less than powerful, soul quenching connections to be our reality. And then it becomes a habit and we just can’t seem to find our way back to connecting in that way. It might be time for you to take some risks.

It’s starts with ourselves. How deeply do we know ourselves? What do we do continue to learn who we are, our preferences, likes, dislikes, secrets (even kept from ourselves). Shame has a magical way of keeping us from ourselves and not knowing it. Then we have the option to share it with others.

The opportunity:

What secrets are you keeping from the people you’re close to?

What’s your worst fear?

What’s your greatest dream?

Who needs to know these things?

Where are you settling for surface connections?

Thanks for your time, have a great day!
