There is a life available to you but you can’t seem to choose it.

There are many interpretations to everything we experience. The interpretations are all across the different stratus of consciousness. High, low, healthy… unhealthy… why do we choose what we choose? Is it really such a mystery?

There are many parts of us that ultimately make up “the being” of who we are. Kind of…

I’m willing to get a little in the weeds here to connect with you in this one. We are, ultimately, who we tell ourselves we are. So what’s the cause of “why” we tell ourselves what we do and who we are?

Change is scary. Becoming or choosing something new or unknown can he destabilizing. And our fear in that can tell us that it’s better/safer/more comfortable to just continue doing what we know than to take the chance of change and potentially make things worse. Even if another part of us knows that the current state isn’t working.

Most drug addicts don’t WANT to be drug addicts. Most food addicts don’t WANT to be food addicts. Most workaholics understand that their choices are creating negative impacts.

But the possibilities of something different bring with it possibilities for instability, failure, inadequacy, or how about this…something amazing that we don’t actually deserve?!

Whoa. Getting spicy.

The opportunity:

Deep deep down in the belly of your being, why do you stay the same? What is the benefit in that?

Identify one area of your life that you are experiencing negative impacts.

How are you benefiting from keeping things the same?

What could go wrong if you change things? In that area of your life? In other areas of your life?

What are you going to do about it?

Thanks for your time, have a great day!
