Do you ever wonder why when you have a challenging conversation you feel absolutely exhausted? Or when you cry and grieve it seems to take so much energy?
Certain activities require different amounts of energy. This goes for all our systems; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and whatever other ones you identify with. We have different currency for each system and we have the ability to amass wealth with each one as well. Are you paying attention? You better be thinking diversification.
We all have the exact same amount of time available each day. You can use any term you want to describe this but the fact remains. We have a finite amount of life and energy. You, me, and anyone else only have so much to give-to life, to work, to our relationships, to our mission in life that we believe we were set on this earth to do.
Depending on the potency of the experiences and one’s capacity for embracing challenging/emotional situations we all different points when we feel fatigue when we’re going beyond our limitations. We all have the ability to become more skilled and efficient in the use of the energy we spend in each system. As we become for skilled we have the ability to shift gears and utilize our dollars for longer.
The most potent, valuable dollars we have in life are our soul dollars. All our energy should be spent wisely but soul dollars are the ones that should be utilized in the most discerning, conscious way.
One of the questions I ask on a questionnaire that I send to new clients is, “Are you clear on what your goals are so you know where to spend your time and energy?”. If you’re not you’ll fuck off and spend frivolously and not keep the train moving down the tracks to transformation-ville or fulfilling your life’s mission-ville.
Where do you spend your energy?
How do you earn soul dollars?
Where are you wasting your time?
My point here is to develop a relationship with the deeper, more meaningful part of yourself. The more time you hang out there, the the more capacity you’ll build and the more you do that the more you can accomplish that is meaningful, intentional, loving, beautiful, or whatever other terms you want to use that works for you.
Thanks for your time. Have a great day!
