When your performer takes on a life of it’s own.

When we’re young and our needs aren’t getting met we start to develop strategies for making that happen. We perform in some way to fill our “perceived” lack. I say perceived because it’s not always true.

I’ve talked about these games and schemes we play before. In fact, the majority of our work in this life is about discovering those schemes and examining them to discard the old and outdated parts that have begun to inhibit our growth and our ability to get our needs met or create the life we want.

Since they’re developed in childhood they’re often childish and immature. They don’t show up in ways that are direct and clear. Our ways of getting what we need become convoluted and destructive. Yeah, you know what I’m talking about.

Enough about all that. The facet or entity we employ to get those things we lack starts to become a habit, then it goes into our subconscious, and eventually we don’t even know it’s running the show.

It has taken on a life of it’s own.

Not only has it taken on a life of it’s own, the part of you that should be running the show has become suppressed and unavailable.

Most of the time it gets woven so deeply into the fabric of our lives and identity we can’t imagine a life without it. We confuse ourselves and think that it’s our personality or simply “who we are”. It’s not who you are and that’s bullshit.

The more important part of this idea is to imagine the entity that actually needs to be running the show and what your life would be like if they did.

The opportunity;

What entity has taken over your life?

Why did it take over and start running the show?

Why haven’t you stopped it yet?

What would your life be like if your highest self was present in your life more often?
