Who deserves your help? Your support? Hell, who deserves your love?
How good are you at loving all of yourself… even the parts no one claps for?
Shame is a social epidemic. None of us are immune and the outcome is devastating.
This week is the final installment of a series of blogposts about my examination of myself and what I believe translates to others around money, helping one another out, and the groups we all have categorized as “the other”.
Without looking for it most of us aren’t able to find, see, and experience beauty in the world. Just take a minute to think about that…(close your eyes and open yourself up to the feeling and sensations that accompany beauty)
How often do you stop and focus on the beauty that is constantly around all of us? It’s accessible if we just learn to see it. It’s in form, music, colors, nature, weather, animals, food, right down to all sorts of things.
Now how about the ugliness that is around us? Trash, malfunctioning machines, just stuff that’s old and worn out, I even saw that there was a worlds ugliest dog contest the other day. Most of us can fall prey to negativity and engage in whining, moaning, groaning, complaining, bitching… you get it.
And although we’ve also have learned to be drawn to beauty whether we’re conscious of it or not. And we learn to be repelled from the opposite. This comes to ourselves and things outside ourselves all around us.
When this happens unconsciously we don’t know it’s happening and we aren’t doing it on purpose. There’s a problem with that. Living life on purpose is how we impact our world and reality it the way we intend to. Have you ever said,”I’m sorry you took it that way, it wasn’t my intention.”? I’m all about having life be in alignment and managing all parts of ourselves in an attempt to gain relative harmony.
Here’s my challenge; find ways to live life even more on purpose, provide more support than you’re currently are, accept more love and support too, and try setting up a time each day to account for three things that are beautiful in your life and write them down. Do this for the next week and tell me what you notice about the general, overall tone of your life. Are you in on that?
