I have all kinds of practices. We actually all do. Some of mine are overt and conscious. They’re intentional. Some, however, are not intentional. They’re unconscious practices run by an entity that is unmitigated and unregulated. This unconscious practice is our responsibility.

I have spiritual practices. I have fitness practices. I have business practices. I’ve even developed a practice of pleasure recently because I need to get better at that.

The other parts I’m taking more and more responsibility for are the regular practice of complaining. My practice of failure. I had a sensei that would ask me,”Are you training or are you anti-training?” He saw that in me at fourteen years old and pointed it out and sometimes I’m still doing it. I’m anti-training, I’m going in the wrong direction.

We are the result of our patterns and habits. It’s what makes us who we are. “We are what we repeatedly do.” So if you’re not shaping what you repeatedly do then your practice is being run by someone else and your throne is empty. You’re not your ideas, you are your actions. The world, your world isn’t changed by your opinions, it’s changed by your actions.

The opportunity:

What do you need to do more regularly and practice?

Thanks for your time, have a great day.
